Servicing locations in Oahu Hawaii. Looking for Field Service Professional in the Hawaii area for technology equipment troubleshooting and repair. Maintain client relationship and maintenance records. Will travel to customers site to maintain and repair technology installed on container handling equipment and gate controls that interact with multiple software applications.
The Field Service Professional for Mi-Jack Products, maintain client relationship and provides quality installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs of technology equipment. Requires troubleshooting of electrical systems/components on container handling equipment and gate control components in a port environment. This position will be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Essential Functions:
This position is approximately 80% Technical and 20% Mechanical
Work in an outdoor environment and will troubleshoot and repair technology equipment deployed on seaport and container handling equipment
This position will focus on the trouble shooting and repair of RFID, PLC, GPS, OCR and LPR Cameras, Gate Kiosk, VOIP, and application support
Familiar with Fiber Optic testing tools and procedures
Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of technology equipment
Provide a high level of communication with both Customer and Office
Monitor dashboard for performance and functionality
Provide assistance to Mi-Jack and Mi-Jack Suppliers Level II Support Technicians
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on technology equipment
Installation, replacing, and cleaning of OCR cameras using a man lift for Ship to Shore Cranes and on Gate Portal structures
Installation of structured cabling and other low voltage electrical systems (Access Control, Commercial PA, A/V, Camera Systems), including physical installation of equipment, termination and interconnection of all cables, and testing for proper functionality
Must be able to read schematics at a high level. Mechanical and electrical experience required
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs. Which includes Scheduled Maintenance, Inspections, and call out repairs
Provide clear work order documentation daily. Document all issues/resolutions in JIRA tracking system
Manage Spare parts inventory and RMA process
Ability to prioritize repairs within the assigned locations
Ability to self-schedule and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance with on-site management
Maintain a clean work environment in the office, vehicle, and storage

Qualifications Required:
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a field service environment
Proficiency in Microsoft® Applications
Interfaces with Software applications such as JIRA on a daily basis.
Basic knowledge of AC, DC, and low voltage power
Basic knowledge of networking including DHCP and IP subnets
Capable of safely handling hand and power tools
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment
Previous experience in Rail and Port Automation systems a plus
Driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Card), must have a keen eye to safety and must have or be able to obtain a passport
Must be willing to travel by air and company truck
International travel may be required for training purposes
Technical degree, Engineering degree or Vocational training in electronic assembly preferred
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Qualifications Preferred:
2 year Degree in electronics, computer science, or related field of study preferred.
5 + years of related experience with similar technology equipment/automation and port/intermodal equipment.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
