The Gist…

Our Sr. Systems Engineer will lead the migration of a Window’s-based legacy on-premises application environment into AWS GovCloud. This role will focus on designing, planning, and executing a seamless transition from physical and virtual Windows infrastructure—including IIS-hosted applications and Windows VMs—to a secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud architecture, Windows application hosting, and application migration strategies, with hands‑on experience in configuring IIS, managing Windows‑based workloads, and leveraging AWS services for modernization.

The Sr. Systems Engineer will collaborate with application owners, developers, security teams, and project stakeholders to assess current infrastructure, define migration roadmaps, and implement best practices for cloud adoption. Responsibilities will include performing application and dependency mapping, configuring AWS services to replicate or improve existing capabilities, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards, and validating performance post‑migration. This position is critical to ensuring minimal downtime, data integrity, and optimal operational efficiency throughout the migration process.
