The Global Development and Innovation (GDI) center is pivotal to The Coca‑Cola Company's innovation in beverages across multiple categories – sparkling, juices, iced teas, and more – and supports product development, packaging, and equipment development. As a

Senior Manager Product Developer , you will lead a program of projects across various categories, contributing to our portfolio’s growth by developing new or enhancing existing beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a cross‑functional team (regulatory affairs, quality, global SMEs, marketing) to plan and manage a program of projects that deliver product enhancements and innovations.

Contribute to and influence the product portfolio strategy in partnership with GDI global category managers, regional category or department leads (and marketing).

Execute and oversee the development of new recipes or adaptations, ensuring projects meet quality, timing, and budget targets while aligning with category strategy.

Apply a design‑to‑value, end‑to‑end approach, integrating consumer‑centric design, sustainability, regulatory requirements, and supply‑chain considerations from the start.

Develop and/or supervise lab‑scale prototypes, conduct sensory tests, and facilitate pilot‑scale production, co‑leading scale‑up trials in bottler or manufacturing plants.

Implement changes when needed and drive continuous improvement throughout the product development cycle.

Report project outcomes, share learnings, and participate in cross‑functional teams, providing insights and data that guide decisions and innovations.

Translate trends and the science of taste into compelling product propositions, maintaining an in‑depth understanding of Coca‑Cola’s system dynamics.

Integrate sustainability principles and digital tools (e.g., AI, digital prototyping) early in development to map impacts, accelerate innovation, and manage risk.

Stay informed about emerging risks, including ingredient selection, allergens, microbial safety, and process recommendations.

Identify and pilot novel propositions that give brands or products a competitive edge, and co‑create the innovation pipeline.

Maintain strong awareness of competitor activities and market trends, using insights to shape category strategy.

Leverage digital tools, data analytics, AI, and digital prototyping to gather insights, accelerate idea generation, and manage sustainability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

At least 8 years of successful product development experience in the beverages industry, or 4–6 years in the food industry.

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Post‑Graduate degree in food science, chemistry, or a related field.

Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language preferred.

Willingness to travel up to 20% annually.
