About the Role We are seeking a dedicated SPED Specialist/ American Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) to facilitate seamless communication for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients, colleagues, and candidates. In this role, you’ll provide real‑time interpretation across a variety of professional settings, contributing directly to our inclusive culture and business success. This role involves travel to school sites and providing support on proprietary company platforms such as VillageED and iTAAP.

What You’ll Do
Provide real‑time spoken English into ASL and ASL into spoken English during meetings, training sessions, and interviews.
Provide support and collaborate with our Occupational Therapist.
Maintain linguistic and cultural accuracy by preserving message integrity, including tone and nuance, while respecting cultural differences.
Maintain confidentiality by adhering to the highest ethical standards for all sensitive company and client information.
Prepare for assignments by reviewing materials and agendas to ensure accurate interpretation of specialized terminology.
Collaborate and support colleagues to ensure optimal communication access and the seamless integration of interpreting services.
Advise on best practices, providing insights and recommendations on communication strategies to foster a more inclusive workplace.
Stay current with continuous professional development, keeping up with advancements in ASL and interpreting techniques.
What You Bring
Current, active certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) (eg., NIC, CI/CT, or CDI) or equivalent national certification.
Minimum 1 year of professional ASL interpreting experience in diverse settings.
Bachelor's degree in Interpreting, Deaf Studies, or a related field.
Fluency in ASL and spoken English.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
