Guided by a grand strategy that prioritizes collaborative, fact-based approaches, CFADP engages with government officials, experts, and the public to address the most pressing foreign and defence policy challenges of the 21st century. Through rigorous research and informed publications, we aim to strengthen U.S. foreign relations, bolster national security, and support the collective interests of the United States, its allies, and the broader global community.
About the Role CFADP is seeking a visionary and committed
Editor-in-Chief
to lead the editorial direction of our flagship publications. This is a unique opportunity to shape rigorous, policy-relevant content in the fields of global security, foreign affairs, defense, and geoeconomics. The Editor-in-Chief will oversee the development, review, and publication of original analysis, commentary, and research that drives public debate and informs policymaking.
Key Responsibilities
Set and execute the editorial vision of CFADP publications, including the Journal of Global Security & Statecraft.
Review, edit, and approve all editorial content for quality, clarity, and policy relevance.
Solicit articles, commentaries, and issue briefs from internal and external contributors.
Qualifications
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a strong grasp of policy language and analytical clarity.
Background in journalism, publishing, policy research, or international affairs.
Deep understanding of global security, foreign policy, and defense issues.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities; experience managing editorial teams is a plus.
Location Remote
Time Commitment 8-10 hours per month (flexible)
