Job Summary:

Our meticulous, approachable and team oriented MRI Technologist to perform daily imaging activities, while creating positive connections with both team members and patients. The MRI Technologist ensures all Imaging standards, safety and policies are being upheld, while aiming to demonstrate Patient Care Second to none! The MRI Technologist has the privilege of utilizing all Imaging equipment and is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper utilization of said equipment. The MRI Technologist is patient facing, so top candidates are amiable and courteous, while being able to multitask and work autonomously with precision.

Duties

Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images based on patient needs

Educates and explains procedures to patients to ensure safety and comfort during the examination

Operates and oversees operative magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes

Records, processes and maintains patient data and treatment records, and prepares reports as needed

Records thorough and accurate patient medical histories and notes as appropriate with policy and guidelines

Follows radiation safety procedures, process and protection devices to comply with governmental regulations and to ensure patient and staff safety

Review and evaluate developed computer generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposesFollows directions and instructions of physician or provider as it relates to patient care management

Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested including annual HIPAA and OSHA training. Maintains work area according to OSHA guidelines

Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations/credentials to remain in compliance with regulatory guidelines

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Renewal is required

Active Certified BLS Provider (Basic Life Support) or must receive from an accredited institution within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date

Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

One year experience in Radiologic Imaging required

Knowledge of Siemens and Phillips Equipment

Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Requires successful completion of an ARRT accredited program in Magnetic Resonance modality

Graduation from an advanced program of Magnetic Resonance can substitute for 1 year experience

Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards

Able to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment while maintaining positive energy

Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for professional advancement

Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none

Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive

Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner
