Job Description
The Innovation & AI Operations Director will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of Adtalem's enterprise AI and innovation strategy. Reporting directly to the VP of Innovation & AI, you will orchestrate both ongoing operations and strategic project delivery across a dynamic portfolio of high-priority initiatives. You will serve as the operational backbone that ensures seamless project coordination, stakeholder alignment, and continuous process optimization—driving results with clarity, speed, and precision.
Responsibilities Project Coordination & Tracking Support the planning and tracking of projects across the innovation portfolio. Maintain project trackers and keep teams accountable to timelines and deliverables. Prepare summaries of project status, risks, and next steps.
Strategic Project Management & Operations Lead end‑to‑end project coordination from initial planning through successful delivery. Design and maintain comprehensive project tracking systems that ensure accountability to timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Develop executive‑ready project status reports highlighting progress, risk mitigation strategies, and resource optimization opportunities. Implement standardized project management methodologies and operational frameworks.
Operational Support Help streamline how the Innovation & AI team works—supporting process documentation, internal communications, and knowledge sharing. Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and help implement scalable solutions quickly.
Dashboard & Reporting Support Build and update simple dashboards and reporting tools that show progress on innovation initiatives. Assist in preparing materials for leadership updates and team meetings.
Business Intelligence & Reporting Support Build and maintain simple operational dashboards and reporting tools that provide real‑time visibility into innovation initiatives. Transform complex project data into compelling executive presentations and strategic updates.
Meeting Facilitation & Follow‑Through Orchestrate high‑impact cross‑functional meetings, including strategic agenda development, stakeholder coordination, and comprehensive action item management. Partner with leadership and Executive Assistant to design meeting frameworks that drive decision‑making and accelerate execution. Build sustainable processes for knowledge transfer, stakeholder communication, and organizational alignment.
External & Internal Coordination Manage multi‑stakeholder relationships with vendors, academic partners, HR, IT, and other key business units. Contribute to building shared understanding across teams by summarizing insights, meeting notes, or pilot updates. Translate technical insights and project updates into actionable intelligence for diverse audiences.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Technology or a business‑related field. Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in operations, consulting, project coordination, or business analysis. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail‑oriented and highly organized. Proficient in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and project tracking platforms. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Interest in innovation, AI, or business transformation is a plus.

In support of pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,171.61 and $181,034.70. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as experience, training, geographic location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibility.
