Position Summary The Medical Director is a key member of the ACTT leadership team and serves as the primary psychiatric provider. This role is responsible for delivering direct psychiatric care and ensuring quality and compliance in medical services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical leadership and consultation to ACTT team members.
Supervise and support mid‑level prescribers, particularly in medication management and psychiatric treatment planning.
Collaborate with agency leadership and ACTT team leads to ensure fidelity to ACTT standards and clinical best practices.
Attend and contribute to daily team meetings to support client‑centered care coordination.
Accurately document services and treatment plans in the agency's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Ensure compliance with all training, documentation, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in the ongoing development of program procedures and service quality initiatives.
Qualifications Required
Board‑certified Psychiatrist
Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia
Experience or strong interest in community‑based psychiatry and ACTT
Valid CPR/BLS certification
Preferred
Previous ACTT experience or familiarity with evidence‑based community mental health models
Experience supervising mid‑level providers or working in interdisciplinary teams
