Sanitarian

in the Cooked Department, where your work plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, sanitary environment for food production. You’ll help prevent slip and trip hazards, support contamination control, and contribute to the overall safety and quality of our products. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and motivated to make a difference in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Your efforts will directly support your coworkers, supervisors, and the company’s commitment to food safety and quality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace by following all safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times. Keep production floors free of egg product during operations to prevent slips and contamination. Bag, weigh, and store seconds and thirds, and accurately document weights for shrink records. Assist with general housekeeping and sanitation tasks throughout the Cooked Department. Monitor and replenish supplies and chemicals for hand dip stations, boot scrubbers, and foot foamers. Follow GMP, HACCP, and SQF Level 3 guidelines to maintain sanitary conditions and product quality. Report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions to management promptly. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment through effective communication and teamwork. Perform other duties as assigned to support sanitation and production goals. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

No prior experience or training required— we’ll train you! Ability to read and understand simple instructions and short correspondence. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to follow oral instructions and solve straightforward problems. Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (or willingness to obtain). PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work well with others. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic reading, writing, and math skills; ability to use a calculator. Up to 6 months of experience in the Cooked Department or equivalent. Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and work in damp, changing environments. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, including inside spiral freezers. Comfortable using pressurized air hoses and other sanitation tools. Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and cross-contamination prevention. Willingness to wear required PPE (bump cap, ear plugs, steel-toed boots, face shield, goggles, freezer gear). Knowledge of customer specifications and ability to retain information for future use. Ability to operate specific sanitation equipment or tools.
