Position Overview As a Hotel General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations to ensure smooth functioning, excellent guest experience, and profitability.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management:
Lead the hotel staff, align with hotel goals.
Hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and discipline personnel.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations of all departments.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Monitor performance metrics such as occupancy and RevPAR.
Guest Experience:
Maintain high service standards to exceed guest expectations.
Address complaints promptly.
Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the annual budget.
Monitor financial performance against budget.
Identify and implement revenue‑growth strategies.
Sales and Marketing:
Collaborate with marketing to attract and retain guests.
Maintain relationships with corporate clients and travel agencies.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits.
Community and Public Relations:
Represent the hotel in the local community.
Participate in industry events and trade shows.
Strategic Planning:
Develop long‑term plans for expansion, renovation, and rebranding.
Adjust strategies based on market trends.
