About the Role:
Intercom is looking for an exceptional Senior Solutions Engineer to join our vibrant Customer Solutions Team. In this role, youll engage directly with customers as their trusted advisor, defining and demonstrating value across the sales cycle. With curiosity, independent thinking, and strong problem-solving skills, youll partner with Product, R&D, and Engineering to ensure customer needs and insights inform our AI-powered solutions. What Will I Be Doing?
Lead technical discovery to identify and address customers needs Deliver an exceptional pre-sales experience by articulating Intercoms value and technical expertise Conduct impactful, value-based solution reviews and in-depth technical sessions Design and lead tailored Proof of Concepts (POCs) that showcase Intercoms capabilities Serve as the primary resource for RFPs and customer security questions, using standardized materials and escalating complex issues Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to represent the customer voice and provide feedback for product planning Build trust with customers by approaching challenges with empathy and curiosity Continuously improve processes and contribute to a best-in-class Solutions Engineering playbook Commit to customer success, ensuring lasting value and proactively addressing challenges What Skills Do I Need?
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role, managing C-level technical and business relationships Strong technical acumen with experience in technical discovery and delivering high-impact value presentations Ability to solve problems independently while thriving in collaborative teams Proven time management skills in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to articulate value proposition throughout the sales cycle Skilled at translating complex business challenges into tailored Intercom solutions and communicating with technical and non-technical audiences Experience working with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence product direction Familiarity with managing POCs, RFPs, and addressing complex security questions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for empathy and curiosity Ability to challenge the status quo and improve Solutions Engineering processes and playbooks Collaborative, with a commitment to go above and beyond to drive team and company success Willing and able to travel occasionally We offer competitive salary and meaningful equity, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive culture. Actual pay depends on factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. All regular employees may be eligible for a corporate bonus program, a sales incentive, and stock in RSUs, where applicable. Intercom has a hybrid working policy. We believe in in-person collaboration while providing flexibility to work from home, and we expect employees in the office at least three days per week.
