It’s exciting time to join our Walmart journey. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a key position on Walmart’s OMNI Returns. Returns is the platform that powers Walmart’s Stores and .com channels for all own and marketplace item assortments. Returns business ensures customers are feeling comfortable while shopping from any channel with a seamless returns experience anywhere within the Walmart and its affiliated carrier network. In this role, you will develop highly scalable services to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software engineering problems by leveraging state‑of‑the‑art technology. Design & Develop software for our OMNI Returns Backend Systems Design and implement pipelines to process real‑time delivery data against our Walmart Global Tech Guidelines. Collaborate with cross‑team and cross‑functional stakeholders. Qualifications
Over 10+ years of experience in designing and developing large‑scale, distributed systems Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot Strong background in building scalable applications using Micro‑services architecture Hands‑on experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Azure Cosmos, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, etc.) Expertise in internet‑scale distributed technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr, MemCache, and similar tools) Experience working with distributed event streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, etc.) Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; experience with web accessibility guidelines. Benefits
