Mammography Technologist

is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Basic knowledge of radiographic theory and techniques is required, with competency in specialized and complex radiographic procedures.
Schedule : 2 to 3 shifts per week, Monday through Saturday.
Primary Duties
Perform mammography procedures, including breast imaging studies and needle biopsies, localizations, and aspirations.
Adhere to institutional policies and procedures for breast imaging, ensuring correct patient positioning, laterality, and radiation safety precautions.
Provide patients and families with clear procedural information and answer questions.
Coordinate with Patient Financial Associates to register radiology exams and minimize delays.
Assist with equipment maintenance, report repairs, and collaborate with Technical Aides for efficient room turnover.
Complete exams via RIS/ERS/EMR workflows, engage in orientation and continuing education, and uphold SPIRIT values, patient safety standards, and related tasks.
Qualifications
Diploma in Radiologic Technology from an AMA‑approved school with competency in didactic coursework and ARRT‑specified clinical procedures.
ARRT or ARRT‑certified advanced mammography certification within one year of hire.
Preferred: 1 year of mammography‑based experience.
Hiring Range USD $39.25 – $64.71 per hour.
