Position Summary The Facilities Manager organizes and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The incumbent in this role may coordinate the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility/grounds, equipment and machinery.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Conducts a thorough inspection of the facilities to diagnose and repair the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting, roof leaks, cabinets (i.e. storage area, shelving, etc.), doors, fire equipment (extinguisher, alarm panel, sprinkler etc.), drywall, soap and towel dispensers, overall exterior (i.e. grounds, parking lot restriping, minor stucco repair, minor irrigation repairs, etc.).
Inspects, checks and repairs items that may cause tripping hazard.
Reviews Facilities Checklist and repairs items on checklist.
Implementation of OSHA and housekeeping requirements of all satellites.
Provides solutions and recommendations on needed repairs; performs and supervises repairs.
Transports, relocates or disposes of office equipment and furniture.
Consults with outside vendors for estimates on repairs and replacements.
Orders maintenance and replacement parts as needed.
Attends weekly and/or regular meetings with manager to discuss open repair tickets, special projects and other pertinent information.
Ensures preventive maintenance on all vehicles is done timely.
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.
Maintenance and repair of all building, equipment and furnishings of the Health facilities.
Responsible for safety and security of all satellites.
Ensures compliance with all health building safety and other related regulatory requirements.
Maintains and oversees maintenance with service agreements.
Maintains orders and monitors inventory levels for facilities material and supplies.
Attend regular program manager meetings.
Responsible for managing the cleaning and maintenance of facilities and parking lot.
Negotiates with vendors for facilities services and obtains quotes.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises Environmental Staff, and Mobile Van Driver. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions.
Ability to work with facilities team to prioritize maintenance requests.
Knowledge of building processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application.
Specialized knowledge of: construction (e.g. framing, drywall, flooring, finishing, roofing, locksmith tasks), plumbing issues, electrical (building lighting system, cable management), HVAC.
General computer knowledge and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Outlook).
Education Bachelor Degree in Health-Care Administration, Management and Operations preferred. Minimum of three years facility or custodial experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
Certificates and/or Licenses Facility Management Certification preferred or Facility Management Profession. Driver's license required.
Financial Knowledge Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
Other Skills and Abilities Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems.
Scope of Responsibility Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department. Bio-hazard disposal and Secure and oversee all vendors working at facilities.
Working Conditions Normal office and health center environment. Frequent evening and occasional weekend work.
