Software Engineer - SAS/Windows Server (On‑Site)
Location:
Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; or Charlotte, NC (in‑office, 3+ days per week). Relocation assistance not provided.
Compensation:
$108,955.55 – $139,070.00 per year. Eligible for annual discretionary bonus.
Job Description:
At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. The role monitors system applications, ensures smooth operation, and creates reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions.
Oversee development and installation of new hardware and software.
Install and configure systems and software.
Test installed software for malfunction detection.
Identify and resolve business system issues.
Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operational systems.
Measure effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
Develop and implement strategies to improve systems.
Monitor and test system performance.
Maintain full ownership of a process.
Act as a procedural expert.
Lead work of junior associates.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Five (5) years of experience.
Skills and Competencies:
Collaborate with developers, conduct system analysis, develop technology solutions, manage multiple projects, knowledge of software testing, code optimization, debugging, strong communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, executional capabilities, understanding of software structures, hardware, and computing systems.
