Job Description The Dallas YMCA is currently seeking a Senior Membership Director. The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, established in 1885, consists of 16 branches and one destination camp and employs over 2000 staff – all dedicated to building healthy, confident, connected, and secure children, adults, families, and communities. We are currently seeking a Senior Membership Director to serve at our Moody Family YMCA.
Under the direction of the VP of Operations and Associate Executive Director, the Senior Membership Director manages the membership and childwatch departments as well as all membership-related experiences and activities within the branch operations in accordance with the purposes and policies of the Association for the Moody Family YMCA. This role also oversees promotional initiatives aimed at attracting new members and is responsible for managing the approved budget. The incumbent will serve as a staff liaison to a Branch Board Committee, play an active leadership role in the branch Annual Campaign, and ensure the Moody Y is represented at all Association Membership Department meetings and events.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of customer service/manager experience (preferred).
YUSA Senior Director experience preferred.
Formal training in customer service is necessary.
Experience in supervision, budgeting, and program design/management required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates sound judgment, autonomy, and emotional intelligence in navigating complex or challenging situations.
Minimum physical fitness requirements include the ability to stand, walk, run, jump, and train for a period of up to 60–75 minutes.
Full upper‑body range of motion and upper‑body strength to lift 25 lbs. is essential.
