Department Overview Fraud Operations, under the Technology & Operations Risk division, plays a key role in supporting the firm by delivering industry‑leading operational solutions. The team aligns the right functions, people, processes and tools to ensure the firm is protected against internal and external fraud risk.
Team Overview The Fraud Analytics and Data Science Team (ADS) supports the greater Fraud Department and other stakeholders across Governance, Metrics, Reporting, Analytics, Data and Graph object development, and AI/ML model development. Team members work across all fraud channels to provide data‑driven solutions that safeguard clients and the firm.
Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, detect anomalies, and support fraud department reporting requests.
Develop clear, actionable reports and dashboards for business leaders and stakeholders.
Collaborate with teams across fraud, technology, risk and compliance to enhance data‑driven decision‑making.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with established firm and department standards.
Communicate complex data insights in a simple, compelling way to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Qualifications
2‑3 years of experience using Tableau or a similar visualization tool.
Experience with relational databases (SQL, Hive, Impala, Hadoop) for business reporting and metrics development.
Experience with Python (or similar languages) to conduct analytic inquiries.
Ability to analyze large data sets and answer business questions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills utilizing data extraction.
Strong attention to detail and desire to work in a team environment.
Desired Skills
Experience or knowledge in financial services and/or fraud.
Proficiency in statistical or general‑purpose programming languages (Python, R, etc.) to implement statistics‑based analytics.
Understanding of fraud and security issues within the banking and finance industry.
Experience with data analytics in the context of fraud investigation, finance, payment processing, or related fields.
Salary & Benefits Salary range: $65,000 to $120,000 per year. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award and a relevant incentive compensation plan.
