Front End Software Engineer Join Corning’s global Information Technology function, leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end‑to‑end business processes and associated information integration technologies. The Software Engineer role will work with business leaders and users, as well as IT resources, to define, develop, implement, and support standardized Siemens Opcenter Execution (formerly Camstar) solutions across a global environment.

Base Pay Range $106,089.00 – $145,873.00 per year

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack manufacturing solutions using .NET and Angular, focusing on customized Siemens Opcenter Execution solutions.

Engage with internal and external customers to analyze requirements from a business and systems perspective, interpreting business goals and translating them into technical solutions.

Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to design and implement new features, ensuring seamless integration of databases and services.

Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, perform code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to peers.

Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software solutions, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Develop a strong understanding of MES solution and how it integrates with other systems and equipment to provide a complete solution to the plants.

Document code, APIs, and system architectures to facilitate understanding and future maintenance.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing to continuous integration, deployment, and automation efforts.

Required Skills

BS/MS in Computer Science, Systems Management, IT‑related field.

In‑depth knowledge of industry best practices in application development and Software Development Life Cycle.

Proven experience as a Full‑Stack Developer or similar role.

5+ years’ experience in web development using .NET, C#, and Angular.

Experience with RESTful services and APIs.

Knowledge of source code management systems (Git, TFS).

Good understanding of relational databases such as SQL Server.

Desired Skills

Experience developing in Siemens Opcenter Execution Designer and Portal.

Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Understanding of Test‑Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.

Experience working in a Scrum/Agile team.

Strong leadership and project management skills.

Strong communication, presentation, organizational, facilitation and negotiation skills, including ability to translate between business and technology needs.

Proven track record of implementing IT solutions that meet business demands and are technically sound.

Ability to continuously prioritize and multitask efficiently.

Ability to influence decisions with critical thinking based upon experience and grasp of the strategic intent of the project.

Location and Salary Charlotte, NC. Salary range: $75,300 – $143,100 (some listings). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
