Tax Manager

who’s ready to step into a leadership role with a clear and defined path to partnership.

Position Summary

The Tax Manager will oversee complex tax engagements, manage client relationships, and mentor junior team members. This is an opportunity for an ambitious CPA who is technically skilled and eager to take on leadership within a respected, locally rooted firm. You will also have the authority to

sign off on tax returns

as part of your managerial and review responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead, review, and sign off on individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns.

Provide tax planning, compliance, and consulting services to clients.

Manage and develop a team of staff and senior accountants.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.

Research complex tax issues and stay current with tax law changes.

Participate in business development and firm growth initiatives.

Collaborate with partners on firm strategy and client service excellence.

Qualifications

Active CPA license (required).

10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.

Demonstrated ability to review and sign off on returns in compliance with professional standards.

Strong technical tax knowledge and leadership ability.

Excellent communication, client management, and organizational skills.

Experience supervising and mentoring staff.

Desire and commitment to pursue partnership within the firm.
