MPD guides the Department of Defense, the intelligence community, and civil clients to enhance national productivity and security and tackle critical missions. We are seeking a Radar Signal Processing Engineer with experience in the Radar and Signal Systems Department for the Sensing and Processing Subdivision within MPD. The group provides matrix support to government space programs of national importance and advises customers such as the U.S. Space Force and National Reconnaissance Office on SAR remote sensing and related technical matters. What You’ll Be Doing

Providing signal processing and system-architecting expertise in SAR/MTI system modeling and target tracking; performing system-level analyses such as signal propagation, RF system performance, requirements development and review. Developing unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms for challenging mission applications. Evaluating maritime surveillance and electronic warfare applications. Providing oversight, guidance, and technical advice on customer projects involving digital signal processing and other real-time computationally intensive problems. Modeling and evaluating the performance of radar imaging, SIGINT detection, and data fusion tracking applications for ground and space-based radar/SIGINT systems to support program planning, acquisition, and operations. Generating periodic written reports and presentations to customers and Aerospace management. Communicating with a broad range of customers, technologists, program managers, and senior leadership. Travel as necessary to support customer requirements. What You Need to Be Successful

Minimum Requirements: Degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or another related technical discipline from an accredited university. A minimum of eight years of experience post-bachelor’s degree (time spent obtaining an advanced degree counts toward this). Familiarity with two or more of the following languages: IDL, MATLAB, C/C++, and Python. Ability to lead impactful initiatives and communicate effectively within individuals and teams. Active TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required to obtain clearance). Exposure to software development including parallel programming. Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts with internal and external organizations. Project leadership experience. How You Can Stand Out

Impressive to have one or more of these: Advanced (Masters or Ph.D.) degree in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field. Experience with implementation and analysis of SAR systems. Broad range of computer skills/experience including LINUX development. Interest in working with experts in RF systems. Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI access or the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship required). We offer a competitive compensation package based on performance and value to the business. The pay range for this job is $110,400 - $165,000 per year. Pay basis: annual. Leadership and Rewards
