to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The

Training Lead II

researches, analyzes, designs, develops, implements and evaluates training curriculum and programs primarily for facility operations staff to obtain and maintain operational/technical qualification requirements as defined by the company and Department of Energy (DOE), and ensures employees are able to perform their job safely and proficiently. Has significant involvement and influence in the identification of training program needs. Provides cost-effective, performance-based training via classroom training, e-learning, hands‑on and other methods found effective. Acts in a lead capacity for subject, functional or facility areas and in providing day‑to‑day direction to assigned staff. May act as a Subcontract Technical Representative.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates a clear understanding of company goals and objectives and the integration of the Liquid Waste scope with the overall Site mission.

Contributes to the company’s training strategy, providing direct supervision to assigned personnel and expertise related to assigned area(s).

Ensures all assigned programs are consistent, cost effective and meet all DOE and regulatory requirements.

Actively involved in the oversight and/or development of training, job and task needs analyses. Designs training curriculum.

Oversees the sourcing and/or development of course material.

Demonstrates active involvement in implementation of new training courses or curriculum and ensures current training is meeting expectations. Implements modifications to programs as needed based on coursework and instructor evaluation.

Develops, performs and documents formal and informal individual and group assessments to determine training program effectiveness.

Imparts the importance of safety, conduct of operations, and professionalism of training staff.

Ensures administrative functions such as records, information management, scheduling, and performance assessments are up to date and handled appropriately.

Manages the day‑to‑day activities of staff including assigning work, removing obstacles, providing coaching, mentoring and career development support.

Researches and/or benchmarks new ideas/concepts for the advancement of the training organization.

Develops, creates and/or generates ad hoc and standard reports as requested.

Manages special projects or assignments as directed by the Training Manager.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, Associates degree or High School Diploma/GED relevant training experience

Additional information:

This position falls under DOE Order 426.2A and as such must meet the conditions of the order. This may require additional specific training and/or knowledge dependent on position’s duties and responsibilities.

Must have courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs, if not included in secondary education course material.

Subject to review, one year of operational experience in a high hazard facility may replace one year of teaching/training experience if the experience is deemed directly relative to the job duties the candidate will be performing in the new role.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Training or Engineering.

Familiarity with applicable federal regulations and Department of Energy Orders.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience.

Minimum Pay USD $102,200.00/Yr. Maximum Pay USD $183,800.00/Yr.
