Job Overview:

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst works under the Staff Services Manager II and supports the Creative Services Manager, serving as the department’s Multimedia Content & Design Coordinator. The incumbent independently plans, develops, and executes high‑quality visual and written content to support public education, stakeholder engagement, and cross‑departmental initiatives. The role ensures content reflects brand strategy, supports accessibility standards, and resonates with diverse audiences. Duties include both routine and high‑profile projects and contribute to the professional creative identity of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, development, and execution of visual and written content for public education and outreach.

Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all media.

Apply accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG) to all content.

Collaborate with program staff, leadership, and external partners on content production timelines.

Support webinars, town halls, and virtual events, including slide decks and post‑event content.

Maintain design and multimedia tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate Governmental Program Analyst or Staff Services Analyst classification; minimum education and experience as specified in the classification. New to State candidates are hired into the minimum salary or alternate salary range.

Desirable Qualifications:

Graphic design and layout skills with experience producing visual content for print and digital.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and video editing or motion graphics platforms.

Photography experience, including photo editing and retouching.

Experience creating social media content aligned with strategic messaging and accessibility standards.

Ability to manage content production timelines and deliverables independently.

Knowledge of accessibility and inclusion standards (Section 508/WCAG, ADA).

Experience supporting live or virtual events, including tech logistics.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid position with up to three days telework per week; requires in‑office presence as needed. Office located at Natomas, Sacramento.
