We are seeking a Salesforce DevOps Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in Salesforce release engineering, Harness‑based CI/CD, and Shell scripting.
The ideal candidate will lead the end‑to‑end release process across multiple Salesforce orgs, implement best practices for source‑driven development, and orchestrate reliable deployments using Harness and SFDX.
This role focuses on improving speed, quality, and compliance across delivery pipelines.
Key Responsibilities Salesforce Release Engineering
Own the release lifecycle across sandboxes and production environments.
Implement source‑driven development using Git, including branching strategies and PR validation.
Build pipelines for SFDX‑based metadata and unlocked package deployments.
Manage data and org shape strategies including scratch orgs and dependency management.
Enforce compliance protocols including change controls, audit trails, and rollback plans.
CI/CD with Harness
Design, build, and maintain Harness pipelines for Salesforce and related services.
Configure triggers, approvals, canary/blue‑green deployments, and environment promotion workflows.
Integrate secrets management, artifact repositories, quality gates, and monitoring tools.
Automation & Scripting
Develop robust Bash/Shell scripts for pipeline tasks, validations, and log processing.
Automate static code analysis, unit testing, and packaging using tools like PMD, ESLint, Jest, and Apex tests.
Create reusable runbooks and self‑service automation tools for engineering teams.
Quality, Security & Observability
Implement quality gates including coverage thresholds, linting policies, and security testing.
Monitor pipeline health metrics such as MTTR, change failure rate, and deployment frequency.
Collaborate with architects, developers, QA, and release managers to streamline delivery.
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in DevOps/Release Engineering, with at least 1 year focused on Salesforce pipelines.
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce CLI (SFDX), Metadata API, and unlocked/package‑based deployments.
Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines in Harness or equivalent platforms.
Strong Shell/Bash scripting skills and solid understanding of Linux fundamentals.
Expertise in Git workflows including branching strategies and merge conflict resolution.
Familiarity with code quality tools such as PMD, ESLint, Prettier, Jest, and Apex tests.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across pipelines, deployment logs, and environment issues.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Salesforce‑focused DevOps in regulated or enterprise environments.
Exposure to Agile development practices and cross‑functional collaboration.
