About the Role We’re looking for a

Staff Frontend Engineer

to help build the next generation of Mochi’s pharmacy software platform. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of telehealth and pharmacy operations, where the software you develop won’t just support pharmacies—it will set the standard for how they operate.

As a senior member of the engineering team, you will take ownership of designing and implementing modern, scalable frontend systems that directly impact core pharmacy workflows. You’ll be building high-performance, intuitive user interfaces that improve operational efficiency and ensure reliability at scale. In addition to driving frontend architecture, this platform will serve as a critical foundation for Mochi to analyze and continuously improve pharmacy performance. You will own large, mission-critical portions of the product, collaborating across teams and leveraging AI-powered development tools to move fast and deliver at scale.

What You’ll Do

Lead the development, optimization and expansion of our web and/or mobile applications. (React, React Native, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin)

Drive best practices in performance, security, and scalability as we scale rapidly over the next 6/12 months.

Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Backend teams to deliver seamless, intuitive user experiences.

Own key architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and elevating front‑end excellence across the company.

Work hands‑on with modern front‑end tooling, component‑driven architecture, and state management solutions.

Optimize real‑time interactions between patients, providers and pharmacies with a focus on accessibility and usability.

Influence engineering culture, fostering innovation and technical ownership within the team.

Who You Are

7+ years of front-end development experience, with deep expertise in React and React Native, as well as some exposure to Kotlin/Swift.

Experience leading technical initiatives and shipping scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications.

Strong knowledge of modern front‑end tooling (TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines).

Expertise in state management strategies and optimizing complex UX interactions in data‑heavy applications.

A passion for creating fast, accessible, and beautiful user experience.

Startup mindset: you thrive in fast-moving environments, take ownership, and love solving problems at scale.

Bonus: Experience with building manufacturing or inventory management software, healthcare-related applications, and SaaS products.

Compensation The base salary for this full‑time position ranges from $250,000 to $300,000, in addition to equity and benefits. The salary range listed represents the minimum and maximum targets for new hire salaries across all locations. Actual compensation within this range is determined by various factors such as job‑related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and location.

Workplace Policy Mochi Health is an in‑person company based in San Francisco, CA. Our team works together in person five days a week to foster collaboration, innovation, and strong connections. We believe that face‑to‑face interaction builds a culture of excellence and allows us to deliver the best outcomes for the patients and providers we serve. For office‑based roles, the standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Actual hours may vary depending on business needs and role responsibilities.
