As a Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of the golf course and clubhouse grounds to ensure they are kept in top playing condition. Your duties will include managing turf, irrigation, drainage, and other agronomic aspects of the golf course. You will work closely with staff to develop and implement agronomic programs for turf grass, trees, and landscaping areas, while also monitoring for diseases and pests. Coordinating with the golf course staff during tournament play, you will ensure that the course meets safety and quality standards. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and implementing pest control programs under the guidance of the Director of Agronomy. Monitoring and recording fertilizing, pesticide usage, and water records will be part of your daily activities. To excel in this role, you will need to manage personnel effectively, conduct soil testing, possess turf and ornamental applicator licenses in Florida, hold a fertilizer license in Florida, be BMP certified in Florida, and have a valid driver's license. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 is also required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
