IM Entry Level Analyst Program: Equity Research Associate

This program, which will begin in 2026, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your investment career while gaining hands-on experience and formal development and training. Voya Investment Management is seeking an Equity Research Associate to join its Thematic Equity investment team which is based in Walnut Creek, CA. This Entry-Level role will support the Global Technology team with research analyst responsibilities and gain exposure to the full equity research lifecycle. Responsibilities
Work closely with PM and Senior analysts to conduct thorough company and industry research analysis Analyze, synthesize present relevant data from industry conferences, company earnings calls, and sell-side research reports Generate investment ideas and actionable recommendations for technology themes Meet with company management teams and attend industry conferences Create and maintain financial and industry forecast models Help update and maintain investor decks with new content creation (graphics, charts, etc.) Perform other related duties, as assigned Knowledge & Experience
Applicants should be graduating with an undergraduate degree in December 2025 or spring/summer of 2026 Self-starter, strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and independently Applicants should be graduating with an undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics BA/BS with a strong academic record (GPA: 3.5 or above) Coursework in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative/analytical discipline Relevant internships in Investment Management or related Finance fields preferred Advanced proficiency in Excel and prior experience with financial modeling preferred Proficient Programming and Data analytical skills. Python experience preferred Bloomberg experience preferred Passion for Finance and demonstrated interest in investing/stock market Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and writing abilities
