Brief Description The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) partners with the CFO and senior leadership to guide financial strategy through data-driven insight. This person brings expert-level Excel skills and a deep understanding of financial modeling and analysis. They won’t just report numbers—they’ll interpret them, identify what they mean for the business, and communicate that story clearly to decision-makers.
Essential Functions
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning across all business units
Analyze performance trends and translate data into clear, actionable insights
Build and maintain complex financial models that drive strategic decisions
Partner with executives to align financial plans with company goals
Develop and refine processes for reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Create concise, story-driven presentations for leadership and the board
Support M&A evaluations, capital planning, and strategic growth initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
8+ years of progressive FP&A or finance leadership experience
Expertise in Excel and financial modeling (pivot tables, complex formulas, scenario analysis)
Proven ability to interpret financial data and tell a clear, compelling business story
Strong communication and executive presentation skills
Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, industrial, or logistics industries preferred
Advanced skills in Power BI or other data visualization tools; ERP experience (NetSuite a plus)
