As a software development engineer in the Axon IaC group, youll drive engineering projects that empower teams across Axon to deliver new features efficiently. You are obsessed with achieving high performance and reliability for our customers and reducing toil. You will work closely with SREs and SWEss, and your deliverables will collaborate with partner teams to build our cloud infrastructure provisioning platform and CI/CD pipelines of the future. Youll champion automation in infrastructure deliveryreducing manual toil and accelerating our path to full infrastructure automation, with a platform-first mindset that emphasizes code quality and maintainability. What Youll Do
Drive engineering projects in the Axon IaC group to deliver features efficiently across teams. Collaborate with SREs and software engineers to build cloud infrastructure provisioning platforms and CI/CD pipelines. Design and implement robust, high-quality Infrastructure as Code modules and tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems. Promote automation to reduce manual toil and accelerate infrastructure automation maturity. What You Bring
3+ years of applicable experience Strong experience with Terraform, Terragrunt and CI/CD Experience using languages such as Python, Go, C#, Java, or similar Experience utilizing CI/CD platforms to automate provisioning infrastructure, software builds, tests, and releases Experience with code collaboration tools such as GitHub, ArgoCD, or similar Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar Experience operating in Kubernetes platforms like AKS, EKS, or similar Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools for provisioning infrastructure such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Experience using observability tools (APM, logging, metrics) to assist with debugging Experience designing tooling to simplify operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems Familiarity with building flexible and testable Infrastructure as Code modules Empathy to support the needs of software engineers Benefits
