Sales Specialist – Outdoor
Join adidas as a Sales Specialist – Outdoor and drive brand leadership across key retailers and outdoor partners.
Position Summary The Outdoor Technical Representative executes sales and marketing initiatives through key retailers and outdoor partners to drive market share and brand leadership. This role involves educating retail staff and consumers, supporting product launches, gathering market insights, and representing the brand at events.
Key Responsibilities Retail & Consumer Engagement
Support retail partners through visits, demos, and collaborating on local events.
Educate and motivate retail associates about adidas Terrex/Five Ten technology through clinics, visits, and events.
Deliver persuasive product presentations to retail staff and customers.
Engage with the community and retail partners to generate excitement and brand awareness.
Represent adidas Terrex/Five Ten at local and national events, races, and expos.
Sales & Merchandising Support
Lead and manage field support for adidas Terrex/Five Ten at specialty and outdoor big‑box accounts.
Manage partner inventory and secure on‑once orders with sales reps.
Maintain partner back‑room organization and secure premium product placement.
Implement merchandising or promotional activities for the product.
Assist sales and marketing teams with product launches, in‑store merchandising, and grassroots programs.
Collaborate with sales management and marketing on national account sell‑through programs and in‑store promotions.
Reporting & Brand Advocacy
Maintain weekly field notes and submit reports on visits, clinics, and events.
Feature in product videos for educational platforms and social media.
Utilize and manage a yearly product seeding budget.
Track and stay within yearly travel budget; submit expense reports.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education/Training, or related field.
1–2 years of relevant project/event management experience or equivalent industry experience.
Strong knowledge of the local outdoor competitive landscape and structure.
Proactive self‑starter and creative thinker.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Collaborative and adaptable in fast‑paced environments.
Ability to work weekends and travel up to 75 %.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Effective time management and multitasking.
Able to lift and carry samples and bags up to 50 lbs.
Passion for outdoor sports and gear.
Working Conditions Remote work with frequent travel to retail locations, events, and team meetings. Frequent evening and weekend work required.
