Overview The Procurement Specialist will have an end-to-end understanding of the Indirect Source-to-Pay process and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal & external partners. The primary responsibility of the Procurement Specialist will be to serve our internal customers by performing assigned procurement functions which will include: creating & converting goods & services Requisitions to Purchase Orders per designated categories, performing follow-up and tracking of orders when applicable, obtaining quotes and other required vendor information for compliant purchasing, and entering and updating purchasing information in SAP & Ariba. This role may include collaboration with Category Managers in sourcing goods & services, key vendor relationship management, other stakeholders across the business as needed. The Procurement Specialist will support Procurement projects assigned by manager and provide purchasing training to supporting departments. This role will provide insightful analysis using procurement, vendor master, and accounts payable data to make recommendations for continuous improvement within the Source-to-Pay operation.
Responsibilities Collaborate with key stakeholders and develop strong internal relationships to ensure requisitions and purchase orders (goods and services) are transacted efficiently and effectively to meet internal customer needs. Provide training and day-to-day support on procurement systems, policies, and processes for end users. Manage CAPEX and special product procurement (i.e., regulated chemicals, reagents, or hazardous materials) while following company procedures and external requirements for such goods. Rectify accounts payable and receiving discrepancies when necessary. Support supplier onboarding and assist with supplier maintenance of records and other master data in SAP. Provide cross‑functional support for small‑to‑medium scale projects that lead to efficiency on procurement systems, processes, and tools, and within Procurement Operations. Provide analytical support for procurement projects. This may include utilizing Tableau, Excel, or AI‑powered agents to generate reports for reviewing procurement activities and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. Other duties as assigned.
