What We Are Looking For As a Milieu Coordinator (Program Therapist) you will be part of a team that delivers hands‑on treatment, group therapy sessions, and support to patients across our nationwide centers.
Your role will focus on facilitating therapeutic groups, providing milieu support, de‑escalation, and behavior coaching within IP/Res and PHP programs.
Responsibilities
Facilitate curriculum‑based therapeutic groups
Cross‑train across the levels of care within your program
Manage milieu support, including de‑escalation and crisis management
Conduct bathroom monitoring and flush checks
Provide behavior coaching and conduct self‑harm and suicide safety checks
Support morning routines in IP/Res programs
Collect weights, vitals, and urine in some settings
Document groups, meals, patient check‑ins, and observations
Qualifications Milieu Coordinator I
Bachelor’s degree required
6 months of behavioral health experience required
Understanding of de‑escalation techniques and ACT/DBT skills training
Knowledge and application of Trauma‑Informed Care
Milieu Coordinator II
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred in Mental Health or related field
Clinical associate/intern license strongly preferred
18+ months behavioral health experience required (waived with relevant Master’s degree)
1 year+ experience with group curriculum, facilitation, and therapeutic milieu skills preferred
Understanding of de‑escalation techniques and ACT/DBT skills training
Knowledge and application of Trauma‑Informed Care
Demonstrated knowledge of stress reactions expressed both behaviorally and psychologically/emotionally
