Overview
EY’s Global Workplace Procurement Services (WPS) team is responsible for developing strategies and negotiating transactions supporting and benefitting all member firms with a spend of US $450M annually across our 750+ EY offices and 360,000 people around the globe. The Assistant Director – Regional Workplace Services Leader will lead in developing and delivering procurement strategy, sourcing execution, customer engagement and vendor management across the Workplace Services and Real Estate categories primarily in the United States and other geographies as demand requires. Key Responsibilities
End‑to‑end delivery of sourcing projects and category management activities for EY business stakeholders, along with commercial management of key suppliers. Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business’s pipeline and providing exceptional customer services while delivering both brand and quantitative value through cost savings and cost avoidance. Adhere to EY Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and other EY support functions. Provide structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects. Build and manage a pipeline of procurement projects in support of category strategy/plan and in collaboration with procurement leaders and global/local stakeholders. Lead complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) with strong commercial and contractual negotiations, partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance. Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings. Continuously deliver procurement and category insights to key stakeholders and educate the procurement process to local EY staff as needed. Maintain solid knowledge of key suppliers and market position, performing research through market intelligence resources and partners. Execute sourcing projects in line with procurement policy and within agreed timelines. Minimize contractual risks to EY and manage supplier relationships according to EY’s procurement and independence policies. Achieve value targets and innovate cost‑reduction strategies, including spend consolidation and supplier rationalization. Collaborate with other EY procurement leads to deliver projects in regions lacking category coverage or requiring sourcing expertise. Provide accurate monthly reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms. Skills & Attributes for Success
Demonstrable SME in workplace or facilities management and real estate project procurement. Strong teamwork, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently. Excellent communication and networking skills – able to manage and influence senior leaders and a broad range of internal and client‑facing professionals. Ability to work in a high‑pace, agile environment. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively. High level of cultural awareness and EQ. Qualifications
Strong procurement expertise and commercial acumen to drive sourcing and demand management strategies across a broad array of category services. Deep background in workplace or facilities management and real estate procurement. Proven track record of leading complex procurement activities, including multi‑regional or global projects. Ability to align efforts with key stakeholders and influence leaders, possessing a global mindset. Experience with Source‑to‑Pay (“S2P”) processes, including managing sourcing projects on ARIBA, e‑Auctions and online RFX. Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Experience in workplace services, facilities services or real‑estate project procurement. Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree or follow‑on degree in a related discipline (recommended but not required). What We Look For
