Compensation:

$160,000 – $200,000 base salary + performance bonus (commensurate with experience)

Overview:

An established, multi-state defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced General Litigation Defense Attorney to join its expanding team. The firm represents insured, self‑insured, and corporate clients across multiple industries and jurisdictions.

This is a great opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom strategy, client advocacy, and working in a collaborative environment that values both professional growth and balance.

Responsibilities:

Handle a broad range of civil defense matters, including general liability, premises, automobile, and commercial litigation.

Manage cases from initial investigation through discovery, depositions, motions, and trial.

Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and dispositive motions.

Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.

Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.

Collaborate with senior partners and clients to develop litigation strategies and evaluate case exposure.

Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Active license in at least one of the following: PA, NJ, or NY (multi‑state admission preferred).

3–8 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.

Experience handling depositions, discovery, and motion practice independently.

Excellent written and verbal advocacy skills.

Strong organizational and case management abilities.

Trial or second‑chair experience is highly desirable.
