Senior Technical Advisor (GPS)
Bay Systems Consulting, Inc. (BSC) is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Enterprise Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team. The role supports the U.S. Space Force and Department of Defense agencies and is based in Colorado Springs, CO, with hybrid/remote options.
Responsibilities Provide engineering expertise to support the development of future GPS & PNT capabilities. Architect policy that drives acquisition of future GPS & PNT technology. Support GPS enterprise testing. Support PNT enterprise capabilities, requirements, architectures, concepts, designs, and technologies. Collaborate with government teams, other program government leads, external organizations, and prime contractors. Actively participate as a subject‑matter expert in the GPS requirements process.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or an equivalent technical discipline combined with eighteen (18) years of systems integration and systems engineering‑related experience. Active TS clearance. GPS experience. Demonstrated understanding of system engineering practices, techniques, policies, and procedures. Demonstrated experience working with or for the government. Demonstrated experience writing and delivering technical documents.
Desired Active TS/SCI clearance. Graduate or doctoral degree in math, science, or engineering. Experience with MS Visual Studio C++, Python, and MATLAB. Experience working with DoD acquisition organizations. Experience working on a Systems Engineering and Integration contract. Experience with Space Systems Command. Experience with cryptography and cryptographic systems.
