Senior Electrical Engineer - Bloomfield, CT or Portland, ME (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast‑paced multi‑discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in higher education, government, and healthcare markets.
General Duties:
Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom, and security.
Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
Prepare detailed design documents in Revit.
Lead a project team and manage projects.
Coordinate with owners and architects.
Coordinate work with other disciplines.
Complete code compliance research.
Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
Assist in procurement, including client relations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8+ years design experience as a registered engineer.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer license (PE).
Experience with complex institutional projects.
LEED experience (certification desired).
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
Skills:
Excellent work ethic and attitude.
Interpersonal communication and organizational skills with the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
Leadership and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
Location: Bloomfield, CT or Portland, ME (Hybrid)
Travel: 10%
Base pay range: $130,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
