Responsibilities
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative products that meet user needs and business goals.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Designers, and Digital Product Managers, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product releases.
Promote a culture where teams collaborate and everyone understands their part in the process.
Drive agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews) with ongoing evaluation of their effectiveness.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure clear understanding and acceptance of user stories for digital products.
Build and maintain a relationship with the development lead to ensure product development aligns with stakeholders’ needs.
Maintain a prioritized product backlog for digital products with epics, features, and user stories; continuously refine and groom the backlog.
Define and own acceptance criteria; translate market insights into actionable product improvements; create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines milestones.
Work closely with UX designers and developers to ensure a seamless, engaging user experience across digital products.
Act as a communication bridge between technology functions and product managers to resolve questions and share updates.
Mentor teams and foster a collaborative environment; share experiences and best practices with other Product Owners.
Translate market insights into actionable product improvements; identify opportunities for process or technology improvements.
Collaborate with product managers to create comprehensive documentation that supports training and materials.
Qualifications
4-year degree in IT, Engineering, or Business Management, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner on an agile software product team.
Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO) preferred.
Familiarity with product management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello, Lucid, and Confluence.
Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and best practices for digital products.
Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with program governance using both waterfall and agile methodologies, including large, complex projects.
Ability to gather requirements from business partners and translate strategic objectives into actionable work for development teams.
Experience collaborating with custom development teams and working with Azure native applications.
