About the Role

We are seeking a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in multi‑cloud infrastructure, automation, and secure software delivery across both Linux and Windows environments. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Kubernetes operations, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform‑based infrastructure as code (IaC), and security automation to support applications deployed in AWS GovCloud, Azure GCC/GCC‑High, and other DoD‑accredited cloud environments.

In addition to being technically proficient, you will help coordinate DevOps activities and align tasks and deliverables across engineering and DevSecOps. You will work closely with software engineers and data scientists to build and maintain secure, compliant, and scalable DevSecOps pipelines, including those supporting AI/ML workloads and data pipelines. The role also includes infrastructure and cost optimization, ensuring efficient use of compute, storage, and GPU resources across mission and R&D environments.

This is a senior individual contributor role — ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with the ability to coordinate tasks, communicate priorities, and keep tasks on track. The right candidate thrives in a secure, hybrid‑cloud environment and can bridge software development, AI/ML engineering, and infrastructure operations while maintaining focus on technical execution and team alignment.

What We Offer

Secure, cutting‑edge AWS GovCloud and Azure GCC/GCC‑High environments

The opportunity to shape and implement modern DevSecOps and AI infrastructure practices

Flexible work options (remote/hybrid depending on project)

Competitive compensation and benefits (health, PTO, 401(k), certifications)

Exposure to DoD, FedRAMP, and CMMC compliance programs

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Plan and facilitate daily standups and sprint meetings to align DevOps, engineering, and compliance deliverables

Coordinate task assignments and track progress across DevOps engineers

Design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud and Azure GCC/GCC‑High

Administer and extend GitLab Enterprise:

Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for microservices, APIs, and AI/ML workloads

Integrate SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, SBOM, and compliance gates

Manage runners, caching, and secure secrets integration

Operate and harden Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) — Helm deployments, service mesh, RBAC, and runtime policy enforcement

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent provisioning and compliance

Apply DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and DoD SRG controls across OS, container, and cloud resources

Integrate compliance automation (SCAP scans, IaC validation, artifact signing, evidence capture) into CI/CD pipelines

Collaborate with AI/ML software teams to deploy GPU‑enabled workloads, inference services, and secure model pipelines

Monitor and manage infrastructure costs, usage, and performance across environments

Implement secure identity and access integrations (Keycloak, Azure AD, SAML/OIDC)

Leverage GitOps practices (ArgoCD or Flux) for deployment governance and drift management

Support Linux and Windows applications, ensuring patching, hardening, and compliance

Establish observability and telemetry using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, or OpenTelemetry

Contribute to automation templates, runbooks, and documentation to improve collaboration and repeatability

Required Skills and Experience

8+ years in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering roles

Hands‑on expertise with:

Linux and Windows administration, automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python)

AWS GovCloud and Azure GCC/GCC‑High services

Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) — deployment, scaling, RBAC, and network security

GitLab CI/CD — advanced pipeline design, integration, and security scanning

Terraform — infrastructure automation and compliance as code

Docker and container security, hardened image builds, and registry management

Observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK)

Cost and infrastructure optimization across multi‑cloud environments

Strong understanding of:

DoD SRG (IL4/IL5) and FedRAMP Moderate/High standards

DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and automated compliance validation

NIST 800‑53, NIST 800‑171, and CMMC frameworks

AI/ML deployment pipelines, GPU workload management, and data security

Agile and sprint‑based coordination principles

Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead daily team meetings, coordinate tasks, and collaborate across teams

Preferred Skills

Experience with :

Hardened container registries (IronBank‑equivalent) and image‑signing pipelines

GitOps, Policy‑as‑Code, and automated compliance evidence generation

ArgoCD, Keycloak, Vault, or Harbor

Hybrid or air‑gapped environments and secure data transfer pipelines

Automation of compliance documentation (OSCAL, POA&M, scan reporting)

Certifications such as CKA, AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, or GitLab CI/CD Specialist
