Role Overview
Sodexo Corporate Service s is seeking a passionate and hands-on General Manager/Chef Manager to lead our food service operations at Novartis in Morris Plains, New Jersey . This is a unique opportunity to oversee a dynamic culinary program that includes:
A Corporate Café serving breakfast and lunch
Catering operations for daily needs and special events
Pantry services supporting workplace hospitality
About the Role: As the on-site leader, you’ll serve as both General Manager and Executive Chef , with a focus split approximately 70% culinary and 30% administrative/operational . You’ll be responsible for driving excellence in food quality, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
Incentives M-F 6am to 4pm with some evenings, no weekends and no holidays
What You'll Do
Lead all aspects of culinary operations , including menu planning, ordering, inventory, and catering production
Manage the client relationship , ensuring high levels of satisfaction and partnership
Oversee financial performance , including budgeting and cost control
Supervise and develop a small team of 2 hourly employees
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
Foster a culture of innovation, hospitality, and teamwork
