We build more than just projects; with our focus on integrity, innovation, and expertise, we ensure precise execution that yields economic and environmental benefits for generations to come.

Position Overview The Vice President of Development will lead the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects from early‑stage development through to sale or readiness for construction. This role requires a strategic and execution‑driven leader with deep ERCOT experience, capable of managing complex development processes, structuring transactions, and driving project monetization. The ideal candidate combines technical understanding with commercial acumen and has a proven track record of creating value through disciplined development and successful exits.

Key Responsibilities

Lead full‑cycle project development – from site control, interconnection, permitting, and engineering through commercial structuring and project sale.

Advance projects to monetization by managing all development work streams, coordinating diligence, and ensuring projects meet buyer and financier expectations.

Structure and negotiate joint ventures, project sales, and portfolio transactions, including MIPAs, PSAs, and co‑development agreements.

Engage directly with investors, IPPs, and bankers to structure and close project monetizations at RTB and NTP stages.

Oversee ERCOT interconnection and transmission processes, including queue strategy, screening, SIS/FIS/LGIA, and grid capacity optimization.

Coordinate with finance, engineering, legal, and external consultants to align technical, commercial, and contractual milestones with corporate strategy.

Provide market and competitive intelligence to guide development focus areas, prioritize hubs, and inform strategic decisions.

Operate independently within a lean environment, driving results with limited oversight while maintaining high standards of rigor and accountability.

Qualifications

12‑15+ years of experience in utility‑scale renewable energy project development, with at least 10 years of direct ERCOT experience.

Proven track record of taking multiple solar and/or storage projects (100 MW+) from early development through sale or COD.

Deep understanding of ERCOT market operations, interconnection, permitting, and transmission planning, including basis and congestion analysis.

Demonstrated success in structuring and closing project or portfolio transactions, including milestone‑based payment structures and cost‑to‑complete valuations.

Strong commercial, financial, and contractual negotiation skills, with familiarity in MIPA, PSA, and JV frameworks.

Ability to work autonomously, make informed decisions under uncertainty, and deliver outcomes within a lean organization.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Attributes

Hands‑on experience with co‑located BESS projects.

Established network of offtakers, and financial institutions active in ERCOT and the broader U.S. renewable market.

Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and close joint venture or co‑development opportunities.

Deep understanding of project valuation, risk mitigation, and transaction structuring in the context of development‑stage assets.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on value creation, execution discipline, and long‑term strategic growth.
