What you’ll do
Write production‑level Python code and design large‑scale system architectures.
Lead AI/ML initiatives, demonstrating knowledge of generative‑model architectures such as LLMs, GANs, and VAEs.
Influence engineering teams and C‑level stakeholders across multiple time zones.
Serve as a thought leader in the developer community, representing New Relic in public forums.
Oversee and mentor a growing team of 60+ engineers, fostering a culture of quality and security.
Responsibilities
Architect and build platform components that operate at enterprise scale.
Implement DevSecOps practices and secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
Design and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes).
Integrate secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or cloud‑native secret stores.
Develop AI proof‑of‑concepts and MVPs, aligning them with business goals.
Qualifications
15+ years in technology, 8+ in designing scalable platforms.
5+ years experience in cloud platform engineering with a focus on generative AI.
Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong coding skills in Python, Java, or C# with familiarity in AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
Experience with secrets management, Kubernetes security, and network security protocols (OAuth/OIDC).
Proven record of writing and maintaining production‑grade AI services.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven stakeholder influence.
Bonus
Cross‑cloud security expertise and cloud‑agnostic solutions.
Service mesh security (Istio) and API security experience.
Hands‑on with OpenAI, Azure Semantic Kernel, AWS Bedrock, and other generative‑AI frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits US$202,000 – 272,000 per year
