Data Engineer II, ITA‑Voyager Amazon

We are looking for a Data Engineer to work in Intelligent Talent Acquisition (ITA), helping to reinvent the hiring process and deliver unprecedented scale, sophistication, and accuracy for Amazon Talent Acquisition operations. As part of ITA you’ll build state‑of‑the‑art research, advanced software tools, new AI systems and machine learning algorithms, leveraging Amazon’s in‑house tech stack to bring innovative solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure data pipelines and infrastructure using AWS technologies and big data tools.

Build and maintain high‑performance ETL processes that handle large‑scale, complex datasets.

Architect end‑to‑end analytical solutions that are highly available, stable, and cost‑effective.

Transform raw data into actionable insights through effective data modeling and integration.

Implement best practices in data system creation, data integrity, and documentation.

Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

A Day in the Life Within ITA, the Data team delivers high‑quality recruiting data, reusable tools, and analytics reporting to Amazon Talent Acquisition customers. The team is the engine behind ITA’s success, creating pathways to information that enable Amazon to make correct hiring decisions a million times over. Focused on building scalable, long‑term solutions, we empower engineers and consumers to develop, access, and analyze data independently with a high degree of privacy and integrity. As a member of the team, you will deliver robust data solutions that drive fair and efficient hiring and rapidly evolve with the needs of the business.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of data engineering experience.

Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.

Experience with SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.

Experience with non‑relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key‑value stores, graph databases, column‑family databases).
