Job Description We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to implement design guidelines that support brand identity and enhance workplace culture. The role involves selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), finishes, and other design elements, while partnering with external teams to ensure aesthetic and functional requirements are met. You will work closely with real estate and project management teams to develop conceptual design packages for presentation to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Implement design guidelines that support brand identity.
Select and implement furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes.
Partner with external teams to meet design solutions’ aesthetic and functional requirements.
Collaborate with real estate and project management teams to develop conceptual design packages.
Ensure designs align with budgetary constraints and strategic objectives.
Develop long‑term design strategies for customer‑facing and employee‑focused environments.
Support initiatives that enhance workplace culture, productivity, and brand representation.
Create and set foundation, guidelines, and standards for future products.
Represent the Corporate Real Estate team in client meetings, both internally and externally.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Revit, Interior Design, and Furniture Design.
Experience in selecting and implementing furniture, fixtures, equipment, and finishes.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of applicable design codes, including ADA.
Strong presentation skills, collaborative approach, problem‑solving skills, and strong communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
NCIDQ certification (preferred).
Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and InDesign.
Work Environment The position offers a long‑term contract with a flexible schedule, requiring 3 days on‑site at the Willis Tower. The role is part of a smaller Corporate Real Estate team with opportunities for growth. The team was previously outsourced and is now in‑house with plans for expansion. Opportunities for travel may be available, and the environment fosters a start‑up mindset. The corporate headquarters are located in the Willis Tower.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay And Benefits Pay range: $50.00 – $65.00 per hour.
