About the Role: CrowdStrike Intelligence is seeking a motivated malware reverse engineer to conduct research on mobile threats. This highly technical position focuses on expanding our coverage of the global threat landscape, tracking criminal and state‑sponsored adversaries, and producing actionable intelligence products for customers.
What You’ll Do:
Technical Analysis:
Discover, analyze and track advanced cyber campaigns exploiting mobile platforms or leveraging mobile malware.
Enhance understanding of malicious mobile tools and malware through reverse engineering.
Develop and maintain tools to automate analysis tasks and tracking of threat actors.
Create host‑based and network‑based signatures for large‑scale hunting, detection, and tracking of threats.
Intelligence Reporting:
Produce high‑quality, actionable intelligence reporting.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate adversary and campaign tracking and to support mitigation strategy development and incident response.
What You’ll Need:
Knowledge of reverse engineering tools (disassemblers, decompilers, debuggers) and processes.
Proficiency in Python and other programming/scripting languages.
Ability to identify and classify malicious tooling through the development of signatures for tracking and hunting.
Strong written, verbal, and graphical communication skills.
Proven track record of relevant experience in cybersecurity and teamwork.
Preferred:
Ability to interpret raw network data and develop network signatures, custom protocol decoders, and decryption tools.
Familiarity with mobile threats.
Background in intelligence.
