Design Neuroscience Center (DNC) is a multispecialty, multidisciplinary practice with a robust 360 degree continuum of care model. The practice is going through a massive growth initiative to expand in South Florida and continue providing high-quality care for neurological patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, and is seeking candidates with an interest in outpatient, inpatient, and teaching environments.

We are looking for candidate(s) for:

Vascular Neurologist/Neurohospitalist

Pediatric Neurologist

Epilepsy Specialist

Adult Neuropsychologist (or hybrid in peds and adult.) Bilingual required. **

DNC has its main facility in Miami Lakes, Florida and two satellite offices in Kendall, Florida and Aventura, Florida and an office opening in Palm Beach County, Florida. We also are affiliated with four major hospitals in South Florida.

Neuropsychology and Neurorehabilitation Center with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Cognitive Therapy

Adult/Pediatric (Hybrid) Neuropsychologist The Neuropsychologist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and providing individual and family psychotherapy and psychoeducational services to pediatric, adult and geriatric populations with diverse neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. This includes but is not limited to traumatic brain injuries (TBI), stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, demyelinating disease, encephalopathy, brain tumors, neuro-oncology conditions, and dementia.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Evaluation Conduct initial clinical interviews in English and Spanish, gathering detailed history and relevant background information.

Able to administer, score, and interpret a wide range of neuropsychological and psychological assessments in both languages.

Develop comprehensive neuropsychological reports with diagnostic impressions, cognitive profiles, and treatment recommendations.

Provide feedback to patients, families, and referring providers including neurologists, neurosurgeons, and legal representatives.

Therapeutic Services Implement cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies in support of neurocognitive rehabilitation.

Provide individual (predominantly) and family psychotherapy (occasionally) tailored to the neurorehabilitation process.

Deliver psychoeducational support addressing adjustment to illness, coping strategies, positive behaviors, improve emotional regulation, and family systems functioning.

Neurocognitive Rehabilitation Develop individualized treatment goals targeting patient-specific areas of impairment.

Provide direct neurocognitive (i.e., cog-rehab) retraining and remediation therapy for memory, attention, executive function, and emotional regulation.

Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, medical staff, and other clinicians to implement compensatory strategies (e.g., environmental modifications, communication tools).

Team Integration Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting that includes neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and case managers.

Contribute to the team’s treatment planning and documentation through interdisciplinary communication.

Offer ongoing feedback and consultation to the neurorehabilitation team regarding patient progress and recommendations.

Qualifications Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Neuropsychology from an APA-accredited program required. Completion of a formal internship and postdoctoral training in neuropsychology.

Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice psychology in the state of Florida. Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

Experience in neurorehabilitation is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated competence in working with pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric populations presenting with complex neurological and neuropsychiatric profiles.

Experience with pediatric populations is not required but is strongly preferred.

Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills with the ability to adapt in a high-demand clinical setting.
