Director of Pediatric Dentistry
to lead and advance our Pediatric Dentistry program in the Celeste Myers Dental Clinic. The Director will oversee clinical operations, drive strategic initiatives, and foster innovation in education and research, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and enhancing patient outcomes through leadership, patient care, and mentorship. Our state-of-the-art center is committed to delivering exceptional oral health care to infants, children, and adolescents. Leadership & Program Development:
Lead the Pediatric Dentistry team in delivering exceptional dental care, expanding services, and maintaining a high standard of excellence. Clinical & Administrative Management:
Oversee full-spectrum pediatric dental services, including preventive care, interceptive orthodontics, dento-facial trauma management, and restorative dentistry. Practice & Financial Management:
Drive efficiency and financial sustainability while ensuring high-quality patient care. Strategic Planning & Growth:
Develop and implement innovative strategies for expanding pediatric dental services and integrating interdisciplinary care models. Quality, Safety, Risk Management & Process Improvement:
Ensure compliance with best practices, patient safety protocols, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Education & Research:
Serve as a mentor and educator for dental trainees, residents, and staff while contributing to academic initiatives, hospital committees, and research through the Rebecca D. Considine Research Institute. Collaboration & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong partnerships with hospital leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to elevate the profile and impact of pediatric dentistry at Akron Children’s Hospital. Position Benefits

D.M.D. or D.D.S.
from an
ADA-accredited U.S. dental school . Board certification
by the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry . Ability to
obtain and maintain an active dental license
in the state of
Ohio . Minimum 5 years of pediatric dentistry experience
with
at least 1 year in a leadership role . A passion for
clinical excellence, innovation, and mentoring the next generation of pediatric dental professionals .
