Position: POS Support Specialist (Contract) We are seeking an experienced POS Support Specialist with a strong background in supporting hardware and software in hospitality or retail environments. The ideal candidate will have: Over 3 years of experience supporting POS hardware and software. At least 2 years of consulting experience with cross-functional teams, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Deep understanding of Point of Sale systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Knowledge of industry-standard configuration methods such as XML, INI, and Windows Registry. Experience reviewing debug logs and datasets, working with vendors to diagnose and resolve issues. Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly. Proactive attitude with ownership of issues and self-starting capabilities. Experience with large-scale application, infrastructure, or database implementations related to restaurant operations. Excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail. Ability to assist in configuring, deploying, supporting, and improving POS solutions and hardware as needed. Collaborative mindset to work with peers and vendors, ensuring system stability and quick escalation resolution during pilot phases. Ability to act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams. Effective planning skills with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
