This position is key to ensuring Cardi's WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is assembled and prepped with the highest attention to quality and detail.

PAYS $18.00 Hourly

Weekly Incentive Bonus Program

Performance Criteria: Bonuses are awarded based on achieving specific performance metrics.

Payout Schedule: Bonuses are paid out weekly.

Job Summary Primary purpose is to win each day by delivering extraordinary service and value to each customer. A Warehouse Furniture Assembling Associate is responsible for producing favorable outcomes for all customers, fellow team members, the company, and the communities we serve. To assemble and prepare merchandise for delivery to customers’ homes in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble products accurately in designated zones, using proper equipment and material‑handling techniques to minimize product damage.

Read truck delivery reports; identify special notations such as “leave in factory packaging,” exchanges, open goods, and shop repairs, and follow processing guidelines.

Confirm merchandise was picked correctly according to delivery paperwork by comparing pick labels, manufacturing labels, and delivery truck reports.

Unbox and unwrap product, adhering to proper cutting techniques to avoid damage, and remove staples and excess packaging.

Inspect merchandise for manufacturing defects or minor repairable damage (dents, nicks, crushed corners, missing finish, etc.) and report defects to management.

Request replacements for damaged items from existing inventory and bring items with minor concerns to the appropriate person for repair.

Assemble merchandise for delivery following manufacturer and company instructions (e.g., installing drawer handles, placing glass in curios, setting up beds).

Clean, dust, and Windex glass and mirrors.

Place merchandise in appropriate cages as needed and maintain delivery stop order per the delivery report.

Double‑check that all product on the delivery printout is in the cage, assembled, and prepped for shipment.

Remove and dispose of packing material per company procedures, recycling cardboard and foam.

Assist in TV production by building props.

Report errors promptly to management and assist in resolving them.

Provide feedback to management for possible improvements.

Assist with training new associates and participate in training sessions.

Attend department/company meetings as required.

Maintain a safe working environment by keeping racks, aisles, and work areas organized and conducting walk‑around safety checks.

Adhere to company safety policy (PPE use, safe operation of equipment, safe unboxing, safe lifting techniques, etc.).

Operate manual and mechanical equipment (dollies, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.

Report any machinery concerns promptly.

Ensure total customer satisfaction through interaction, cooperation, and collaboration with associates and managers.

Comply with all applicable company health, safety, and quality standards, policies, and procedures.

Report potential safety issues, hazards, or violations to management.

Assist in maintaining security by reporting suspicious activity.

Embrace change by supporting organizational change initiatives.

Model company image and culture through positive attitude, cooperation, appearance, and respect for policies.

Perform other functions as needed.

Working Environment / Physical Requirements Work is performed in a warehouse environment, with some outdoor exposure. The job is very active and involves:

Continuously standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting, pulling, pushing, and reaching above shoulder level.

Using hands to handle tools, reach with arms, speak, and hear.

Lifting/moving objects up to 110 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds assisted.

Withstanding typical warehouse temperatures.

Using vision abilities such as close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.

Operating standard warehouse equipment like hand trucks and box cutters.

Experience and Education NO Experience required

Prior related experience and/or training preferred but not required.

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
