Small Group Account Manager (Inside Sales-Employee Benefits) Responsibilities
Account Management Serve as the primary contact for small group clients, handling day-to-day service needs such as enrollments, billing, eligibility, and claims support. Manage the renewal process: obtain quotes, prepare comparisons, assist with strategy, and coordinate renewal meetings. Maintain accurate client data and documentation in the agency management system. Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and clients to resolve issues promptly. Stay informed on benefits trends, compliance (ACA, COBRA, etc.), and product updates.
Inside Sales & Growth Partner with producers to identify and pursue new small group opportunities. Handle inbound leads and quote requests for small group prospects. Present plan options, pricing, and recommendations to prospective clients. Cross-sell and upsell additional benefits lines. Contribute to agency marketing and retention initiatives.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in employee benefits, preferably with small group clients. Active state Life & Health license. Strong understanding of group health, dental, vision, life, and disability products. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a sales-support capacity.
