Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa is actively searching for a personable, articulate, and customer-focused Director of Sales to join our Sales team. Located in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains, the resort offers 141 guest rooms and suites, a first-class spa and wellness center, an extensive wine cellar, and full-service Harvest Tavern restaurant, with views of Mount Washington and the White Mountains. Develop proposals for all guest inquiries, prepare contracts, group resumes, and detail BEOs for all room blocks, corporate or group sales, and/or social and wedding events. Compile and/or direct the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the sales department, including annual and monthly forecasts, marketing budget, lead management system, group booking pace, STAR report, and other relevant reports. Attend and represent the hotel at selected trade shows or necessary community events. Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market trends and develop new marketing strategies. Make recommendations to improve potential from various markets. Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients. Initiate preparation of annual sales and marketing plans and execute them, adjusting as needed based on market conditions. Organize and/or attend scheduled sales department and executive committee meetings. Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximize hotel revenue. Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, marketing expenses, sales and marketing budget, forecasts, and other required reports. Maintain tracking in the CRM system to ensure all client information and potential bookings and prospecting calls are documented and balanced monthly. Develop group rates, group sales and catering deployment strategies through review of competitive data, demand analysis, and mix management. Communicate with front office manager, group bookings, room blocks, rooming lists and billing procedures. Prepare all BEOs for group events with timely and accurate information for clients and staff. Conduct pre-conference meetings with appropriate management teams. Monitor competitive hotel pricing, physical plant improvements and service levels. Assist with the creation and implementation of adult and child activities and programs. Participate in weekly Revenue Merchandising (Yield) meetings and related assignments. Maintain a vibrant website with seasonally appropriate keywords, pictures, links, PPC campaigns and digital marketing. Analyze results monthly including Google Analytics and third-party vendors; monitor SEO processes. Develop and maintain CRM campaigns with monthly email blasts and customer feedback mechanisms. Develop brochures and other advertising materials for food/beverage and hotel facilities. Represent the hotel professionally in community and industry organizations and events. Work with the PMS system to take reservations and investigate credit accounts and billing information. Qualifications

3+ years of sales experience in a hospitality setting Strong leadership and effective written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and highly efficient Exceptional interpersonal skills Ability to work a flexible schedule based on client needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays Excellent computer skills Ability to train, motivate, and supervise others On-hand event catering and detailing experience Subject to successful completion of background check and/or DMV check Benefits
