Purpose The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations and occupancy of the AgeWell Solvere Living Managed Community. Duties include financial management, business planning, development and implementation of program services, staff management, and delivery of high-quality services to residents and their families. The Executive Director must proactively communicate any situation that could threaten the community to their direct supervisor and adhere to all regulations and policies established by AgeWell Solvere Living.

Management / Financial

Maintain ongoing compliance with local, state, federal, regulatory, and accrediting body standards.

Prepare the community for regulatory inspections through regular auditing and updating of policies, procedures, and documentation.

Produce monthly financial reports and explain variances.

Oversee departmental budgets and guide department heads in meeting budgetary guidelines.

Ensure accounts receivable are collected in a timely manner.

Establish and monitor systems to ensure quality of care, service delivery, and regulatory compliance.

Identify and address quality indicators and variances.

Optimize revenue opportunities and ancillary revenue.

Maintain and increase occupancy in accordance with budget.

Promote staff participation and involvement in daily operations and decision-making.

Provide ongoing supervision, direction, and performance feedback to staff.

Communicate with team members to address resident and family inquiries.

Manage recruitment, hiring, employee relations, and staff separations following company policy.

Maintain accurate staff files and complete evaluations for all department heads.

Administer disciplinary processes throughout the community.

Lead the management team in supporting the organization’s mission and values.

Resident Care

Ensure high-quality services as required by residents.

Protect resident rights and educate staff, residents, and families on those rights.

Coordinate with the Wellness Director for move-in processes, lease and service plan execution.

Respond to family, resident, and team member requests promptly.

Serve as liaison between management, residents, and families.

Maintain competitive market analysis data and comparative competitor analyses.

Ensure accurate use of Vitals within the community.

Deliver a positive first impression of the community.

Resolve community presentation issues.

Maintain or grow occupancy to maximum levels.

Collaborate with department heads to emphasize the team’s role in marketing and sales.

Assign Manager on Duty for weekend coverage as scheduled.

Sales / Marketing

Represent the community in public settings.

Promote the Ministry within the local community.

Use Sherpa accurately and timely.

Generate leads and close sales.

Compliance & Safety

Enforce OSHA regulations and safety procedures.

Ensure full compliance with all laws and regulations for assisted living facilities.

Follow all emergency procedures.

Understand safety policies and procedures.

Investigate and review all on-site injuries.

Qualifications

State required licensing and certification (if applicable).

Excellent customer service and public relations skills.

Experience working with seniors.

Proven ability to operate and maintain a customer-focused senior living environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Meet all current state regulations for licensed assisted living communities.

Demonstrated integrity and leadership skills.

Passion for working with the senior population.

Effective communication of company values to residents, families, visitors, and staff.

Physical ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds.

Physical endurance for standing and walking for extended periods.

Ability to travel to referral sources for at least 30% of time.
